Boxed Warning: Risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. In animal studies, tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors. It is not known whether it causes these tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in people. Do not use if you or any family member have ever had MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you are allergic to tirzepatide.
Common effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, indigestion, reflux, bloating, belching, fatigue, headache, and reduced appetite. Foundayo may also commonly cause gas and hair loss; injectable products may cause injection-site reactions.
Serious risks may include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, dehydration-related kidney injury, severe gastrointestinal reactions, allergic reactions, and low blood sugar when combined with insulin or certain diabetes medicines. These medicines include important thyroid-tumor warnings and are not appropriate for everyone.

Zepbound (tirzepatide) is a prescription medicine used with a reduced-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity for chronic weight management, and to treat obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity. It may cause serious side effects, including inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar, kidney problems, and serious allergic reactions. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and constipation. Tell your clinician about all your medical conditions and medications.
